Business Directory Installation Instructions  

Step 1. Install XMod by DNNdev.com

Business Directory is built to be used with the popular DotNetNuke module, XMod and requires XMod pre-purchase and installation. XMod installs as a conventional DNN module and full documentation is included with your purchase. XMod Online help is available here.

If you have not already installed Xmod on your portal, follow the installation instruction below.

Log into your DotNetNuke site using the Host account credentials.

Host >> Module Definitions

Install XMod

Next add an instance of XMod onto a page.

Add XMod to Your Page

You will see a message that looks like this:

Next Go To XMod Module Edit Menu >> Administration

Configure XMod Admin Settings

Note: Before Saving changes, make sure that you have clicked the FormView Module Install/Update Module button.

Click this button before saving changes

This will install the XMod FormView module that you will need to configure the Business Directory Inquiry Form. The installation of the Inquiry Form is explained on the Configuring Forms tab.

Step 2. Install Fatgeorge FileUpload Control

Business Directory is built to be used with the popular XMod add-on, FatGeorge File Upload Control and requires FatGeorge FileUpload Control pre-purchase and installation. Full documentation is included with your purchase.

Return To XMod Module Edit Menu >> Administration and install FatGeorge FileUpload Control

by browsing your local computer and adding the FatGeorge installation zip file. The current version is 3.5.3+.

Step 3. Install Business Directory

If you have not already extracted the purchased BD6.1.0-UnZipMe.zip file to your local computer, do so now. Locate the BD6Package1.0.zip file inside the extracted installation folder.

Log into your DotNetNuke site using the Host account credentials.

Return To XMod Module Edit Menu >> Administration and install Business Directory

by browsing your local computer and adding the Business Directory installation zip file BD6Package1.0.zip

Install Business Directory Using the XMod Administrative Console

All images and files associated with Business Directory will be installed in the following location:

(Your Home directory)/xmod/packages/BusinessDirectory and will be fully accessible from the DotNetNuke File Manager (Admin >> File Manager).

The installation also creates several XMod forms and templates that allow you to choose which type of form configuration is suitable for your needs.

The following XMod forms and Templates will be installed:

Forms

BD6 Single Category Form - This is the data-entry form for Business Directory with a single listing category selection and upload video options for video from local disk, Amazon S3, and YouTube.

BD6 Single Category No Local Video Form - This is the data-entry form for Business Directory with a single category selection and no local video.

BD6 Single Category No Video Form - This is the data-entry form for Business Directory with a single category selection and no video.

BD6 Multiple Categories Form - This is the data-entry form for Business Directory with multiple listing category selection and upload video options for video from local disk, Amazon S3, and YouTube.

BD6 Multiple Categories No Local Video Form - This is the data-entry form for Business Directory with multiple category selection and no local disk video option.

BD6 Multiple Categories No Video Form - This is the data-entry form for Business Directory with multiple categories and no video option.

BD6 Sub Categories Form - This is the data-entry form for Business Directory with listing category and sub category selection with full video options.

BD6 Sub Categories No Local Video Form - This is the data-entry form for Business Directory with sub categories and no local disk video option.

BD6 Sub Categories No Video Form - This is the data-entry form for Business Directory with sub categories and no video selection.

BD6 Inquiry Form - This is the form used to send a listing inquiry.

Templates

BD6 List View - This is the list view template for Business Directory

BD6 Detail View - This is the detail view template for Business Directory

BD6 Detail View No Video - This is the detail view template for Business Directory to be used with the forms that do not include a video selection option.

Step 4. Uploading Rating Images

Within the extracted Install Folder is a folder named Rating Images. You will find two images named dnnp-emptyStar.png (Ratings Empty Star) and dnnp-fullStar.png (Ratings Full Star). These two images produce the viewable rating section on a listing detail page.

Simply upload these two images to your Portal Root folder located at Admin Tab >> File Manager
