Move My Inventory Installation Instructions  

Step 1. Install XMod by DNNdev.com

Move My Inventory is built to be used with the popular DotNetNuke module, XMod and requires XMod pre-purchase and installation. XMod installs as a conventional DNN module.

If you have not already installed Xmod on your portal, follow the installation instruction below.

Log into your DotNetNuke site using the Host account credentials.

Host >> Module Definitions

Install XMod 5.5

Note: When using XMod 5.5+ you will also need to install the FormView module
Install XMod 5.5 FormView module 

If you will be using the free XMod Detail View for XMod 5.0 - PA that allows you to have your listing details show on a unique DotNetNuke page, you will also want to install the XMod Detail View for XMod 5.0 - PA at this time. (See bottom of page for more details)

Install XMod detail module 

Next add an instance of XMod onto a page.

You will see a message that looks like this:

Next Go To the module action menu >> XMod Module Edit Menu >> Administration

Configure XMod Admin Settings

Note: Before Saving changes, if you are using XMod 5.1, make sure that you have clicked the FormView Module Install/Update Module button.

XMod 5.1 Only - This will install the XMod FormView module that you will need to configure the Business Directory Inquiry Form. The installation of the Inquiry Form is explained on the Configuring Forms tab.

Step 2. Install Fatgeorge FileUpload Control

Move My Inventory is built to be used with the popular DotNetNuke module, XMod and requires XMod pre-purchase and installation. To gain the most benefit and control for uploading and automatically resizing image files, it also requires the XMod add-on, FatGeorge FileUpload control.

If you have not already installed the FatGeorge FileUpload control on your portal, follow the instructions below.

Return To XMod Module Edit Menu >> Administration and install FatGeorge FileUpload Control

by browsing your local computer and adding the FatGeorge installation zip file

Note: If you are using XMod 5.5+ install FatGeorge FileUpload control version 3.5.3 or higher for compatibility with DNN 5+

Step 3. Install Move My Inventory!

If you have not already extracted the purchased MMI6.1.0-UnZipMe.zip file to your local computer, do so now. Locate the MMI6Package1.0.zip (or latest version) file inside the extracted installation folder.

Log into your DotNetNuke site using the Host account credentials.

Return To the module action menu >> XMod Module Edit Menu >> Administration and install Move My Inventory!

by browsing your local computer and adding the Move My Inventory! installation zip file MMI6Package1.0.zip or latest version

Install Move My Inventory Package 

All images, style sheets, and files associated with Move My Inventory will be installed in the following location:

(Your Home directory)/xmod/packages/MoveMyInventory and will be fully accessible from the DotNetNuke File Manager (Admin >> File Manager).

The installation also creates several XMod forms and templates that allow you to choose which type of form configuration is suitable for your needs.

The following XMod forms and Templates will be installed:

Forms

MMI6 Single Category Form - This is the data-entry form for Move My Inventory! with a single listing category selection and upload video options for video from local disk, Amazon S3, and YouTube. It also contains options to upload audio. The Administrator can configure the parameters of this form to allow, or disallow video, and optionally video from local disk.

MMI6 Multiple Categories Form - This is the data-entry form for Move My Inventory! with multiple listing category selection and upload video options for video from local disk, Amazon S3, and YouTube. It also contains options to upload audio. The Administrator can configure the parameters of this form to allow, or disallow video, and optionally video from local disk.

MMI6 Sub Category Form - This is the data-entry form for Move My Inventory! with listing category and the option of selecting one or multiple sub categories in which to categorize your inventory. It also contains options to upload audio. The Administrator can configure the parameters of this form to allow, or disallow video, and optionally video from local disk.

MMI6 Inquiry Form - This is the form used to allow the option to allow perspective buyers the ability to make an inquiry via email.

Step 4. Uploading Rating Images

Within the extracted Install Folder is a folder named Rating Images. You will find two images named dnnp-emptyStar.png (Ratings Empty Star) and dnnp-fullStar.png (Ratings Full Star). These two images produce the viewable rating section on a listing detail page.

Simply upload these two images to your Portal Root folder located at Admin Tab >> File Manager

Step 5. Optional - Uploading XMod Detail View for XMod 5.0 - PA

With Move My Inventory! We have also added the ability to now have your detail template appear on a separate page. This will add powerful functionality by allowing you to add additional modules to the detail page. To utilize this option you will need to download the free XMod Detail View for XMod 5.0 – PA from http://dnndev.com/Other/Projects/tabid/319/Default.aspx to your local computer and install it as a conventional DNN module.

Note: XMod Detail View for XMod 5.0 – PA is required if you decide to use the MMI6 Detail View 2 and MMI6 PayPal Detail 1 detail templates

Login in to your DotNetNuke site using the Host account credentials
