Britney Spears - Circus
- See, this is how a pop star manages her career. Court battles? Lockups? Court-appointed conservators? If you’re Britney Spears, those aren’t reasons to stay out of the studio, they’re preludes to your second album of new material in 14 months. Never mind what Axl Rose would have you believe – borderline psychosis, unhealthy levels of narcissism, and the crushing weight of global scrutiny aren’t excuses for taking years to finish an album...
The Bottom Line:
For the most part this will be Britney’s comeback album and it is a top notch pop record through and through. It is at its best when she takes on her haters and at its worst when she gets sexual. Most tracks will be huge hits on pop radio and Britney’s horrible year will mostly be forgotten. It will be interesting to see how she will handle the spotlight in the year to come. So leave Britney alone, Dammit!!!
